Combine all ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake until chilled, about 10 to 15 seconds.
Strain with a hawthorne or fine mesh strainer into a martini glass. Better yet, double strain it for an extra smooth finish.
Garnish and serve. A lime wheel or a spiral of lime peel are both fun garnishes for this cocktail.
Notes
Ingredient suggestions:Plata Silver Hornitos is our go-to tequila for mixed drinks! If you're new to mezcal, we recommend starting with something like Del Maguey Vida Clasico. And if you don’t already have a vermouth you like, we recommend starting with Martini & Rossi Extra Dry.Serving suggestions: We love enjoying this Mexican martini year round! It's bright and citrusy and goes great with really any Mexican food - but we particularly love sipping on it with appetizers like our crockpot street corn dip, easy bean dip, or black bean corn salsa and tortilla chips.
