A nutritious, satisfying, and refreshing tropical acai smoothie bowl to start your morning off right. Topped with fresh fruit, granola, and coconut shreds, it’s like vacation in a bowl!
Add the almond milk, frozen acai packet, frozen fruit, and peanut butter to a blender. Blend on the smoothie setting of your blender, or medium speed, until the smoothie has a creamy, thick, and even consistency. You may need to smash/stir often with a tamper or large spoon if your blender isn't super powerful.
Transfer the smoothie to bowls for serving. Top each bowl with fresh fruit, granola, and shredded coconut and serve immediately.
Notes
Frozen acai: You can typically find frozen acai packets at the grocery store, near the frozen fruit. We like to use the Sambazon brand ones.Granola: We love using KIND oats and honey granola with toasted coconut for this tropical acai bowl. The flavors play so well with the tropical fruits and shredded coconut! Plus, KIND granola is one of the healthiest options for granola since it’s made with whole grains and natural sweeteners.Peanut butter: Adding a little peanut butter to these smoothie bowls gives them some extra protein and helps create a thicker consistency. You can skip this ingredient if you want, or substitute with other nut butters, but note that the smoothie may end up a little thinner.Blending: We recommend using a powerful blender to make acai bowls. If you need to, use a tamper or a large spoon to help break up some of the frozen fruit, alternating between mashing and blending until you've achieved the right consistency. You can also add a splash or two more of almond milk if needed, but note that too much milk will thin it out.
